Wasootch is a graphic design studio founded in 2009 by me, Shannon Smith (graphic designer). Wasootch specializes in creating unique wedding and special occasion stationery products and customizable gifts. Wasootch has been a brand on Zazzle and Etsy and is now eager to be a part of Lemon Leaf Prints!
My designs feature fun and colorful floral designs, as well as a variety of unique hard to find themes. Wasootch has designs that are elegant and rustic and everywhere in between! I look forward to working with you to ensure that your special occasion is extra special!
Where did I get the name Wasootch? Well, it's the name of a picnic area in Kananaskis Country in Canada and I've always found it to be quite a fun sounding word. Then, I looked up the meaning and found that it is a Native American word meaning "unique". I thought that had a nice ring to it. Finally, I started off making cartoon Bigfoot products and thought that perhaps a Bigfoot type animal might be appropriately named a Wasootch. Now that I'm focused on special occasion designs, I think it's still appropriate as I try to put some true "uniqueness" into all my designs.
